Last week was terribly cold here in the midwest due to the arctic winds, the northern part of MN got up to -40F!! I never lived anywhere that got this cold so it was terrible... lol literary every part of your body hurts from the sharp cold wind, any exposed skin felt like its been slapped with needles D;
I been dying to see this attraction Ice Castle next to the Mall of America, we have chosen the wrong date to go to there, we ended up going there on one of the coldest day this winter,, what were we thinking?! lol
But it was worth it cause it was ridiculously beautiful but I dont think I got to fully enjoy cause I forgot my mitten and hat end up getting wind burns on my face from just being out for like 10 min in -3F weather cause it was super windy :(
Being surrounded by all the ice it literally felt like I was in a meat freezer with wind chill that made it feel like -20F lol I couldn't keep my face straight cause it was way too cold to pose... LOL
This is what Zach looked like lol like a ninja! He was super prepared for this cold just like all Minnesotan were with the weather being in the negatives -F you really need to cover your face or you will get wind burns like I did.. XP
I felt like I was in the arctics being surrounded by the Ice Castles, felt surreal. If you have a chance to go see an Ice Castle it will be a memorable one for sure :)
Thanks for reading my photo diary~
XOXO

ReplyDeleteYou're so incredibly beautiful as always, Eki. <3 In Sweden, we have some called the Ice Hotel, up in Kiruna! It's an hotel built entirely by ice. (The furniture too!) Lots of designers get together and create new designs every year. And if you stay there they have lots of activities, like horse and dogsleds, watch northern lights and ice sculpting!
ReplyDeleteThat's absolutely stunning! I'd love to visit an ice castle one day~ At least you don't look windswept or frozen, still beaut~
