Hello~
As you all know that I have bleached my hair and colored it to light ash brown almost a month ago! wow time just flies by so fast,,, But I didnt get to show you how I achieved this color so here it is!!
Before and After comparison
Here are the items that was used
you can get all the items below at Sally's beauty supplies :)
The process~
sorry all taken on iphone so crappy photos... :(
If you watch the video that I made explaining the process you can get a better idea of what to do! ^__^
Mix the Quick blue bleach powder with equal amount of developer, this case for my black hair I used developer 30, this image was taken after I applied the mixture evenly and wore a hair cap for about 45 min. The hair is now fully processed and in the shade of light yellow, this is when I know its all ready to jump in the shower to wash it off really well then I applied Loreal Natures therapy mega shine nurturing creme conditioner...
After the shower, this is what it looked like once it was dried,, light yellow to light orange lol
And then the next day I have colored my hair with Ion hair color in light ash brown, came out lighter than expected, more on the med ash blonde shade.
here is what it faded to and with my new growth taken almost a week ago
So with my first attempt at getting a perfect light ash brown sorta failed,, I went and got a new shade to try with a different brand of dye also from Sally's.
This hair dye was voted by Health Beauty Awards 2011 Winner of Best Haircolor! So I had to try it here is what it claims
4 Signs of Healthy-Looking Color
Deep Conditioning
SOY4PLEX™ is a deep conditioning color complex that acts on both the outer layer and deep inside the cortex to deliver the 4 signs of healthy-looking color.Reflective Shine
The deeply conditioned outer layer forms a highly reflective surface for noticeable, healthy shine—up to 61% more.*Long-lasting Color
SOY4PLEX color molecules move to the cortex of the hair; the smooth outer layer helps seal them in for long-lasting color.Multi-dimensional Results
Deeply conditioned hair reflects light in many directions to create multi-dimensional, natural-looking results. Here are the result from this dye~ it also lightened my new growth to a brown shade :D I like the fact that it came out as a true ash tone but darker than I expected but I am happy with it cause I know its going to fade into really nice light ash brown shade after few washes♥
ohh Bonus!! I completely forgot to talk about how I bleached my eye brows in the video!! SORRY!
So basically after applying my whole hair and while that was processing, I noticed that this bleach wasnt irritating my skin so I decided to used the left over bleach on my eye brows~
I made sure to apply the bleach that was thick enough that it wasnt runny so that I didnt have to worry about it getting in my eyes. You should apply generous amount on the eyebrows so that you dont get patches of dark brow hair so make sure all your brow hair a completely covered in the bleach! :D
The process time for my eye brows was about 15 min and it turned in to really nice light brown color!
here is LOL pic of me bleaching my eyebrows!! the white brow was so funny that I ran and got a white plastic bag to wear over my hair~ had a GOOD laugh at myself as a Grandma eki!! LOL
I also got this from Sally's that I am liking for my dry hair
